Creating Hope for Orphans
Why?
UNICEF estimates there are over 153 million orphans in the world. Everyday, 5700 more children are added to this number because of poverty, abandonment, death of their parents, and abuse. There is not a system in place in third world countries for foster families or adoption and not enough orphanages to care for the growing numbers.
Where We Have Been
This year Hope Story Missions (HSM) has ministered to over 900 children in orphanages and under-resourced schools in the countries of Belize, Trinidad, Jamaica, Kenya, Dominican Republic, and Haiti. Over 120 children became first time Christ Followers. HSM distributed 600 donated Action Bibles to help them learn more about God. We have been able to do this because of the generous support of passionate people and the partnerships with like minded ministries such as; First Love International in Kenya, Christianville.
